File this one under “Match Made in Heaven” — South African rave-rap sensations Die Antwoord are planning to make a short film with local director/artist Harmony Korine (Trash Humpers, Gummo) in Nashville next month. The film is called Wat Kyk Jy? — which translates to “Whatcha Lookin’ At?” in the group’s Afrikaans language. Frontman Ninja tells Pitchfork that it’s set to be screened at the Rotterdam Film Festival in January. “(Korine) wrote the script and we made it a little more Zef. It’s come out (expletive) wild.” We’re assuming Die Antwoord and Korine will start shooting after the group’s November 3 concert at the Cannery Ballroom.
An old school American van with the “Dopethrone” Electric Wizard album art airbrushed on the side, waterbed in the back, mini fridge full of root beer, and a secret compartment full of safe sex supplies.
